Cornelia Konrads INTERIM STATES Philosophy animates Cornelia Konrads' artwork as much as any aesthetic element she chooses to explore. Not only does the viewer get a sense of intense organic connection with many of her pieces, but, almost more important to the artist herself, is that they are led in quiet solitude to determine the moment in time and reality captured through the works. From her website: "... Konrads combines different forming principles in a delightful way: not only calm and motion, but also dissolution and density. This is joined by the contrasting play between gravity and overcoming it, between reality and simulation, and the exciting encounter between nature and culture... ... her works are interim states, moments of an irritating and fascinating indecision." Interview by Michael Helander from Blue Velvet Chair
