School Culture Rewired: How to Define, Assess, and Transform It by Steve Gruenert and Todd Whitaker My husband is a fixer. I mean this in the best possible way. He has saved us thousands of dollars through the years because of his adeptness at fixing things around the house, the vehicles, and the farm. When we built our house, even my husband knew and understood his limits when it came to wiring our house for electricity. Thankfully, we hired a licensed electrician who was reasonable, and did an excellent job. You may be asking yourself, what does this personal story have to do with Gruenert and Whitaker's book on school culture? Changing your school's culture can be much like building your own house. Before you decide to change your school's culture on your own, stop and read this book. Trying to change your school's culture on your own, on a whim, without the research, stories, and strategies to support the change, could lead to an epic failure. As a student at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Indiana, I had the privilege of participating in a couple of Dr. Gruenert's Book Review Review by Dee Ann Schnautz, Ph.D. Click the cover to view on Amazon.
