Antique Halloween As sculptor Len Bentham sees it, Halloween d├ęcor has become increasingly gory and macabre; he arrests that trend in his own work, which hearkens back to an earlier era and is populated by ghouls and goblins of a more whimsical sort. This Canadian artist, who lives and creates in Victoria, British Columbia, finds inspiration in many places, but particularly in the holiday decorations of the past. His reverence for older objects and imagery is clear but his passions are wide ranging. His interests in textile, fashion, costume and set design would come as little surprise to anyone viewing his creations, but he lists, by Kate Hunter
